Charles Dana Gibson (1867 – 1944) was an American artist remembered mostly for his “Gibson girl” drawings. His fine, pen and ink work, mostly portraying the current social life, was highly succesful. Gibson worked for the magazines Life, Collier’s Weekly, Tid-Bits, later re-named Time, “Scribner’s, Century, and Harper’s.
